Spring Market Time!
After a long winter, it’s so nice to see the city slowly come back to life. It’s a refreshing feeling to reconnect with ourselves and our community as the sun fills the sky with light longer into the evening each day, and we eagerly climb out of hibernation.
I always enjoy selling my work at craft shows, but I am especially looking forward to participating as a vendor in one show in particular in Halifax: The Halifax Crafter’s Society Spring Market! I took part in my first Halifax Crafter’s show this past Christmas, and it was such a positive experience. Out of all the shows I’ve participated in, this one is easily my favourite. It attracted many visitors of all ages, bringing together and celebrating a strong sense of community. I love meeting clients and being able to discuss my work in-person; it’s such an invaluable opportunity to gain feedback, and to share insight into the process of jewellery making. The camaraderie among vendors was something that I was also really thrilled about; not only could I connect with clients, I got to meet so many other wonderful makers that are part of the community I live in.
If you live in Halifax, or somewhere within the vicinity of Halifax, I invite you to come check out the upcoming Halifax Crafter’s Spring Market on May 6 & 7th at the Olympic Centre (2304 Hunter St.). There is a fantastic lineup of vendors, and it is sure to be another great show. Halifax is home to a wealth of talented makers, so if you can, take some time to stop by to connect with and show support for our fabulous community.
I will be launching a few fun new pieces for my 2017 Spring/Summer collection at the show (sneak peak above!). If you are not in Halifax and/or are unable to attend the show, don’t fret! I will be launching the pieces on my online shop a few days prior to the show.
If you have your eye on anything in particular, please do not hesitate to contact me at kclairem@gmail.com if you’f like a special piece put aside! ;)
